Auburn, NY – Auburn East LLC d/b/a Auburn Properties LLC (Auburn East LLC), an affiliate of Commercial Development Company, Inc. (CDC) from St. Louis, Missouri, is pleased to announce the acquisition of a 15-acre former Bombardier manufacturing plant in Auburn, New York. The property was acquired from Auburn Technology, Inc.

The plant operated for over 120 years and was used to manufacture diesel engines and rail transportation equipment. Originally established in 1886 as the McIntosh & Seymour Diesel Engine Company, the site features 237,480 SF of industrial space with multiple buildings constructed in the late 1940s.

Auburn East LLC plans to evaluate the existing buildings and will retain or redevelop portions of the property based on market analysis and the specific needs of prospective users, with the goal of returning the site to productive industrial use.

Auburn East LLC believes the location and development attributes of the property will attract users from multiple sectors. The property features over 200,000 SF of industrial space with 45′ to 60′ high ceilings and wide column spacing of up to 83′. The facility is equipped with 12 overhead crane ways ranging from 10-ton to 40-ton capacity, making it suitable for heavy industrial operations.

Additionally, the property is fully-paved and fenced with power-ready infrastructure in place, including all utilities, loading areas, and a NYSEG substation on-site. The location offers immediate access to Highway 20 with truck access from three directions and adjacent rail. The property is located at 151 Orchard Street, Auburn, NY 13021.
