Kraft - Evansville, Indiana
CDC purchased this former Kraft facility located in Evansville, IN. The site was subdivided into four separate parcels. Within three months, two of the parcels were sold to land speculators. A third parcel consisting of a 134,000 sq. ft. warehouse on 10 acres was sold nine months later. The remaining parcel is under long term lease with a major plastics manufacturer and consists of 110,000 sq. ft. of warehouse/office space located on 13 acres.  As part of this sites risk management CDC razed 142,000 sq. ft. of buildings, performed substantive asbestos and PCB remediation, and removed nine underground storage tanks with the associated contaminated soil.
