G. Heileman Brewing Co. – Belleville, Illinois

CDC purchased this 27 acre facility from G. Heileman Brewery.  It was capable of producing over 800,000 barrels of beer annually and was also utilized for wine production.  CDC demolished 68% of the obsolete buildings and liquidated the excess equipment while performing asbestos and PCB transformer remediation and below grade hydro-carbon clean up due to underground storage tank removal.  CDC sold 15 acres to an adjacent nursing home and retained the remaining 180,000 square foot warehouse and distribution center for lease.  CDC ultimately sold the warehouse.
